Youth organizers are responsible for educating the community on the program of work :"Prevention of School House 2 Jail House".   "Prevention of Schoolhouse 2 Jailhouse" focuses on minimizing the number of young people interfacing the juvenile justice system.  Many students are being pushed from the schoolhouse 2 the jailhouse because of the adoption and implementation of zero tolerance  policies in our schools. As a result, the Mississippi Coalition for the Prevention of Schoolhouse 2 Jailhouse, a statewide group of educators, community, legal and public policy groups, have dedicated themselves to working for cost effective and humane methods to close Mississippi Schoolhouse 2 Jailhouse pipeline and reform its wasteful, ineffective  juvenile justice system.
